English is my second language. I’ve spent my whole life bridging the communication gap — translating for patients in hospital rooms, training law students to deliver an oral argument, coaching teams through agile transformations that actually stuck. Now that work is books, apps, and coaching.

The short version

How I got here

I learned this work before it had a title. When English is your second language, being the person who makes two sides understand each other isn’t a career choice. It’s the job in the room.

Translating for patients who couldn’t ask their own doctor a question. Training law students to make an argument land in front of a judge. Coaching teams through agile transformations that actually stuck.

The setting kept changing. The problem never did — two people, both making perfect sense to themselves, neither one landing.

That has been the work for fifteen years. Most recently on the program that put generative AI aboard the International Space Station, the first large language model deployed in space, where the hard part was never the model. And for six years alongside it, volunteering as a mediator, sitting with people who had stopped speaking to each other altogether.

Different rooms. Same job.

Find where people are talking past each other, and close that gap. I believe collaboration and communication solve almost everything — at work, at home, on a tennis or pickleball court. And I believe you get there faster with clarity than with force. It’s the shortest route I’ve found.

Most people and most teams are one conversation away from the outcome they want.

Charisma you can practice in seven to nine minutes a day. A team that stops working around each other and starts performing. A business built on AI its leadership actually understands.

That’s the bridge I build. That’s why I’m here.

The method everything runs on

State · Story · Strategy

Three stages, in order — and the order is the method. You can’t sort out what happened while your body is still braced for a fight, and you can’t choose a strategy until you know which parts of the story you actually agree on.

First — State

Get your body out of threat before you open your mouth

Breath check. Jaw check. Rate the emotional charge. A regulated nervous system isn’t a nicety here — it is what makes the next two stages possible at all.

Then — Story

Separate what happened from what you made it mean

Two people, two accounts, no villain. Name the facts you both agree on before you touch the interpretation.

Finally — Strategy

Pick the one outcome you actually need

Not a script. A single defined ask, an opening line, and a decision about what you’ll do if the answer is no.

What I’ve built, what I’m building

This board is honest, not promotional. The third column is a decision queue, not a roadmap — those are candidates I’m still arguing with myself about.

Prove the State stage

The honest gap, and it now sits first. Story and Strategy have evidence behind them; State claims somatic mechanics I haven’t yet demonstrated on the page. Leading with it raises the bar on proving it.

Ship the book

The manuscript is done and sitting still. What’s missing is a landing page and an email sequence — not more writing.

AI‑Assisted Conflict Resolution for Leaders

The pivot candidate: fold the mediation expertise into the AI‑for‑professionals positioning instead of running them as two businesses.
